Torn Meniscus Healed
Jun 02, 2016

Early in the football season of his sophomore year, Eli suffered a torn meniscus in his knee.  He wasn’t willing to quit football, so he continued playing the entire season in pain.  It is advised to stop activity on a torn meniscus to give it time to possibly heal.

After the football season, he continued to have severe pain so he had surgery. The orthopedic doctor told him it would probably continue to give him some pain because it was badly damaged and he wasn’t able to completely repair it.

Eli wore a brace on it during his junior year and it still gave him pain.   However, as he started his senior year football, he felt the brace was bothering him so he took it off.  He found that the pain was totally gone and played the entire season pain free, having the best year of his football career.  The same year he suffered a sprained groin muscle.  With prayer, he was able to return to play in 3 days.  This type injury can take 2 – 6 weeks to heal.
